Small and medium capacity downflow or upflow
super compact air conditioners, available in
direct expansion (air-cooled or water-cooled)
and chilled water version.
With their quiet adjustable speed fans, suitable
for ducted applications, AMICO units can be
used for close control in technological
environments as well as in comfort applications.
All essential components are accessible for
servicing from the front, allowing machines to be
placed side by side, next to furniture units or in a
corner.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
FRAME constructed from 1.2 mm steel sheet,
painted with RAL7021 (dark grey) epoxy powder
and lined with dust- and fibre-free self-
extinguishing thermoacoustic insulation.
CONTOUR PANELS in 1,2 mm steel sheet,
painted with RAL 9001 (cream colour) epoxy
powder and lined with dust and fibre-free self-
extinguishing thermoacoustic insulation.
The front panel is fixed to the frame and the
base with quick-release fasteners.
REMOVABLE INTERNAL PANEL with acoustic
insulation shielding the fan compartment to:
- decrease overall noise levels;
- isolate the air flow even with the front panel
open;
- allow checks on internal components with the
unit in operation.
FILTER in self-extinguishing media with EU2
efficiency (doc. Eurovent 4-5), mounted on a
metal frame and front-extractable.
FAN SECTION
Centrifugal double-inlet fans in galvanised steel,
with forward curved blower keyed directly to the
motor shaft to eliminate fan belt maintenance.
AIRFLOW SENSOR to activate an alarm in the
case of low airflow.
COOLING COIL constructed of copper tubes
expanded into aluminium fins; the large front
surface coil, mounted upstream of the fans to
ensure uniform air distribution, is mounted on a
stainless steel tray with a flexible condensate
drain hose.
ELECTRICAL REHEAT (in version T or H)
with integral aluminium fin elements and safety
thermostat which, in the event of overheating,
cuts the power supply and activates the alarm.
ELECTRODE BOILER HUMIDIFIER (in D and
H versions) with variable steam production and
automatic water salinity monitoring to guarantee
operation even with untreated water supplies.
ELECTRICAL PANEL complying with IEC
recommendations, housed in a compartment
isolated from the airflow and including:
- 24 V control circuit transformer;
- safety screen for all mains voltage

MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL to provide
highly accurate real-time control of room
conditions while displaying all operating
parameters as well as any fault conditions

BAROSTATIC VALVE (water-cooled models)
to control condensing pressure by metering the
water flow rate.
SELF-CLOSING GRAVITY DAMPER (upflow
units) to prevent backdraught with the unit off
(high head pressure fans recommended).
ASM2 BOARD FOR DATA TRANSMISSION
(for units with mP3 control) to a remote BMS
station via an RS422 port or, with an external
adaptor, an RS232 port.
SERIAL ADAPTOR RS422 o RS485 (for units
with mP20-mP10 control) for connecting to
supervisory / maintenance system.
LAN CARD (for units with mP20 control) for
