4.4.. Daisy.Chain.Wiring
Be sure to make linear connections between
the modules. Do not make star connections,
this type of connection can cause communi-
cation errors.
DO NOT make star connections when
connecting the relays panels!
4.5.. Setting.the.Communi-
cation.Speed
ON
OFF
The 8
switch of the switch blocks is re-
th
served to set the com muni cation speed
(see picture 4). Select the high-speed mode
(internal switch #8=ON) if all devices on the
communication line are compatible with the
high-speed mode or select the regular speed
(internal switch #8=OFF) if 1 device on the
communication line does not support the
high-speed mode.
*This note does not apply to the
internal switches of the variable-output board.
The high speed mode is only available
on some models of environment control.
Let the 8
switch OFF if your controller
th
does not have this capability.
If many internal switches are located
behind the top cover of your relay panel
or if you are using several panels, make
sure all switches #8 have the same posi-
tion.
*This note does not apply to the internal
switches of the variable-output board.
4.6.. Assigning.ID.Numbers
ON
OFF
A relay panel can have up to 3 electronic
boards located behind its front door and one
optional variable-output board located in
the bottom of the enclosure (see picture 4).
Each of these boards must be given a unique
identification number so that the environment
control can communicate with it properly.
Use dipswitches #1-7 to assign the ID number
of each board. The table on the right shows
how to set the switches for each possible ID
number. Refer to the wiring diagram of your
particular controller to see what ID number
must be given to each relay board of your
relay panel.
