Installing the Optional Divider Panel
When your puppy is small, the crate may be too big, leaving
them to sleep in one end of the crate and go to the bathroom
in the other end. A divider panel adds versatility to your crate,
allowing you to adjust the length of your puppy's living space
as they grow.
Determine the appropriate length of living space your puppy
will require at their current size. Make sure your puppy will
have enough room to turn around and lie down comfortably.
Place the divider panel inside the crate, through the front
door, with the hooks facing away from the front door panel
and away from the dog's living area.
Position the divider panel as close to the bottom pan as
possible but just high enough to allow the pan to slide in
and out of the crate. Starting at the bottom, attach the divider
panel's hooks to one side of the crate and work upward.
Then, on the opposite side, start from the bottom and hook
the other side of the divider panel to the crate.
Note: If you have a two-door crate, attach the divider panel
to the door side FIRST, then move to the other side.
To Fold and Transport the Crate
Fold down the crate by reversing the assembly process
starting at step 6.
Attach the plastic lock latch on the open side of the folded
crate. It will snap onto the second horizontal wire from the
bottom, just above the plastic pan. Wrap the lock latch
over the top of the folded crate to secure it closed.
The plastic handles are provided to transport the crate
when it is in the folded position and are not intended for
use when the crate is fully assembled. When attaching a
plastic handle, place it on the opposite side of the plastic
lock latch. To remove the handle from the crate, push
down firmly until it disengages. Do not twist the handle to
remove it.
Maintenance
To protect the finish of your crate and the bottom pan, use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners and water. Any coarse scrubbing or
abrasive materials could damage finish.
Do not expose the plastic pan to direct sunlight for extended periods of time as this may lead to warping or damage to the pan.
To help reduce noise, place a piece of carpet or cut a piece from the crate carton and place it inside the crate beneath the pan.
