APPLICATION
The ignition switch Q640 is designed to operate an ignition
transformer or a main switch between line and ignition
transformer, which ignites the pilot burner during the ligth up
sequence of the appliance.
The ignition switch Q640 is for use with the V4600/V8600
series gas controls.

INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT
The ignition switch can only be mounted at the inlet
side of the V4600/V8600 series gas controls.
Mounting (See fig. 1.)
· Insert the plunger of the ignition switch under the retainer
of the knob of the gas control.
· Fix the ignition switch with the M3.5 x 6 screw.
Wiring
The ignition switch is double insulated, therefore no earthing
is needed when the ignition switch is mounted on a low
voltage gas control.
Connect the lead wires of the ignition switch according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
Operation
The plunger of the ignition switch will be pushed down by
means of the knob during the ligth--up sequence of the
appliance.
A return spring under the plunger pushes back the plunger to
its ready position when the knob of the gas control is
released.
Checkout
Before leaving, set the appliance in operation and observe
through a complete cycle to ensure that the burner system
components function correctly.
