BEFORE INSTALLATION
Prior to first use, wash all the components with warm, soapy water.
Rinse thoroughly.
INSTALL THE BASE

Tools You Will Need
• Flathead screwdriver
1. Choose a convenient location with a firm work surface.
2. Mount the platform base using the included hardware as shown
below.
NOTICE: If you are using a thin-gauge work surface, Vollrath
suggests placing a spacer plate underneath. This will
prevent the work surface from flexing, which may cause
the can contents to spill when opening.
Variable Location
1. If the can opener is not permanently mounted to a countertop, install
the clamp attachment to the platform base.
2. Tighten the clamp to secure the platform base to the countertop.

OPERATION
1. Place the bar into the base.
2. Lift the handle to the UP position. Place the can against the bar.
Using a swift downward movement, punch the blade into the can lid.
3. Lower the handle 90° to the DOWN position to engage the gear
drive.
