2.1 Appropriate Usage
The GSM-UMTS-OUTAN antenna connects the router of the COM-B or COM-C communication
distribution box with the UMTS network.
Die GSM-UMTS-OUTAN is intended for outdoor installation on the MV Station.

2.2 Safety Precautions
Failures that affect or limit the safety of the device must be rectified immediately. Unauthorized
modifications and the use of spare parts not recommended by SMA Solar Technology AG may cause
fire, material damage and electrical damage. Unauthorized personnel must not have access to the
PV plants.
Warning signs must always be clearly readable. Damaged signs must be replaced immediately.
