Intended use
This product is intended for use as visual/acoustic signalling device and is suitable for
connection to a fixed alarm system with 12 V alarm output. The product is protected against
reverse polarity.
The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor installation.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits or fire. Read the instructions carefully
and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with
its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting

• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases,
vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• Warning, LED light:
- Do not look directly at the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Fast, regular flashes of light may lead to epileptic seizures in certain people.
This may also happen to people who have never before experienced an epileptic
seizure.
• The product emits a very loud sound. Keep a sufficient distance to the product
(e.g. in case of a function test), as hearing loss may occur otherwise.
• The product is suitable for use in unprotected outdoor areas. However, the product
must never be used in or under water.
• Never install the product on or inside vehicles.
• Make sure the connection cable does not get pinched, kinked or damaged by
sharp edges.
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
when using the product in industrial facilities.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be done by a technician or an
authorized repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Mounting and connection
• Connect the connection cable to a suitable power source (e.g. 12 V alarm output of an alarm
system). Observe correct polarity.
Red cable = positive/+
Black cable = negative/-
• Attach the product with suitable mounting material (not included) to the installation site.
When drilling holes and tightening the screws make sure not to damage any power
lines or gas or water pipes below the surface.
When installing the product outdoors, make sure that moisture cannot penetrate the
cable connections (e.g. screw connections, terminals).
Care and cleaning
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Further, do not point water jets (e.g. from a high-pressure cleaner) at the light, since this could
damage the gaskets.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. In case of stronger contamination you can
slightly moisten the cloth with lukewarm water.
• Do not apply too much pressure on the case, this could cause scratch marks.
• The LEDs are permanently mounted and can not be replaced.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in household
waste. Always dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
