tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal

• Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an
operation where the accessories may contact hidden wiring .
Contact with a "live" wire will also make exposed metal parts of
the tool "live" and shock the operator .
• Be aware that this tool is always in operating condition, because it
does not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet .
• Always be sure you have firm footing .
• Be sure no one is below when using the tool in high locations .
OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Installing Or Removing Battery Pack From The Tool
1 . Your new battery pack is not fully charged . You may need to
charge before use .
2 . Make sure the forward/reverse lever is in the neutral position
when installing or removing a battery .
3 . Slide type 14 .4V, 18V, and 20V depress the front tab and pull
the battery forward and the tool in the opposite direction .
4 . Stick type 10 .8V - 16V depress 2 tabs on side and pull
battery down and out front of tool .
Charging The Battery Pack
1 . Battery may not charge when it is above a certain preset
temperature limit . Allow temperature of battery to cool before
charging .
2 . The charge process will take less than one hour .
3 . After charging, unplug the charger from the power source
and stow away in a safe place .

• Hold the tool firmly and use both hands .
• Keep hands and hair away from rotating parts .
• Do not leave the tool running . Do not force tool to stay in the "on"
position . Operate the tool only when hand-held .
• Do not touch the impact socket or the workpiece immediately after
operation; they may be extremely hot and could burn your skin .
• Some material contains chemicals which may be toxic . Take
caution to prevent working dust inhalation and skin contact .

Charger Operation
1 . Plug charge station into a 120 VAC outlet .
2 . To install stick type 10 .8V, 12V, or 16V battery align the
battery terminal ends with charger, push down until "click" is
heard . See figure 2 .

3 . To install slide type 14 .4V thru 20V batteries, slide the battery
pack into the charger as the arrow indicates . Push the
battery pack into place until click is heard . See figure 3 .
4 . Make sure the red light on the charger is "ON" . The battery
pack is now starting the charging cycle . If the battery pack is
excessively hot or cold, the charger will not begin charging
and the red indicator on the charging station will blink . When
the battery returns to between 0°C (32°F) and 50°C (122°F),
the charger will automatically begin charging . Ensure the
charging ambient temperature is between 0°C (32°F) and
40°C (104°F) .
5 . If both the red and green indicator lights are ON, the battery
pack does not comply or is defective . Please contact your
retailer .
6 . The charging process will take less than 60 minutes .
7 . Unplug the unit after the charging process and keep in a dry,
cool place .
