Intended Use

The article is suitable for use as a battery-powered lamp. It is
not a toy!

The article is designed for personal and domestic use only and
is not intended for commercial applications. The article should
only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use
is deemed to be improper.

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused
by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at re-
pair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

material away from children and animals.

Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the
article out of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is
swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.

CAUTION – Danger of acid burns from battery acid! If a
battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous
membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you
touch battery acid, rinse the affected area with abundant fresh
water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

CAUTION – Risk of dazzling! Never look directly into the light
beam! Never aim the light beam directly at other people or
animals.

Ensure that the article cannot come into contact with
water!

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in
the article and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if
necessary.

Use only the battery type specifi ed in the "Technical Data".

Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of
different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.
When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).

Take the batteries out of the article when they are dead or if the
article is not going to be used for a prolonged period. This will
prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other
means, dismantled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in fl uids, or
short-circuited.

Protect the article from: impacts, heat, direct sunlight, sub-zero
temperatures, moisture and wet conditions.

Store the article in a dry place and at room temperatures.
■
Dust off the article with a soft, dry cloth to clean it. More intense
soiling can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

Do not use the article if it shows obvious signs of damage. Do
not take the article apart and do not attempt to repair it. In the
event of any damage, please contact our customer service de-
partment.

You also require 6 batteries (1.5 V, type AAA; 3 batteries each head
light). These are not supplied with the article.
Inserting / Changing Batteries
1. The battery compartments are located on the back of the head
lights. To open it, slide the battery compartment cover counter
to the direction of the arrow and remove it.
2. If applicable, remove the empty batteries and insert 3 new
batteries (1.5 V, type AAA) into the battery compartment.
Ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
3. Insert the battery compartment cover and slide it back onto the
battery compartment in the direction of the arrow.
If the performance of the article diminishes, the batteries should
be replaced.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner and take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly manner
at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic
devices. More information is available from your local
authorities.
Batteries should be removed before the article is disposed
of and should be disposed of separately from the article. To
protect the environment, batteries must not be disposed of
with normal household waste, but must be taken to suitable
collection points. Also note the relevant statutory regula-
tions governing the disposal of batteries.
