Description of functions:
The Accu Trainer Pb can be used to charge all 12 V rechargeable lead-acid batteries automatically (without monitoring).
The device will start the charging process even with a very low battery voltage of 1.5 V. This allows for charging also deeply
discharged batteries. The Accu Trainer Pb now charges according to the UI charging procedure, i.e. the charging current
decreases while the battery voltage increases. Whenever the charging current drops below the maximum value (1.5 A), the
device switches into pulsed-current mode. Both in the charging mode and in maintenance charge the rechargeable battery
receives short electrical impulses to remove damaging sulfate deposits on the lead plates. This regenerates the already
damaged rechargeable battery and its capacity and durability are increased significantly. The efficiency of the pulsed-current
operation is the higher the longer the rechargeable battery remains connected to the device. This function is also beneficial to
new rechargeable batteries. The Accu Trainer Pb helps you to prevent the production of these sulfate deposits even beforehand
and thus keeps the full capacity of the rechargeable battery. The device switches to maintenance charge when the typical end-
of-charging voltage of 13.8 V is reached.
The Accu Trainer Pb is suitable for permanent operation.
Note: It is strictly necessary to observe the charging instructions of the respective manufacturers of the rechargeable batteries!
