Before you can use your harddisk docking station, you need to connect it to the power and your computer.
You can connect the docking station by USB or by eSATA.
Note:
When the docking station is connected by eSATA, you can achieve higher transfer speeds, but
eSATA is not available on every computer.
A.
Check if the powerswitch on the backside is set to '0' (off).

Connect the power adapter to the DC input on the backside of the docking station and to a free wall
outlet.

Note:
If you connect both cables, the docking station will use the USB connection by default.

3. Connecting your CHDDOCK23E
Connect the USB cable to the backside of the docking station and to a free
USB port on your computer.
Connect the eSATA cable to the backside of the docking station and to a free
eSATA port on your computer.
