2.1

Mounting

WARNING! Electric shock!
Upon opening the housing, live parts are exposed!
Î Always disconnect the device from power supply
before opening the housing!
The device must additionally be supplied from a double pole switch with contact
gap of at least 3 mm.
Î Unscrew the screws from the housing of the electric immersion heater and
open the housing.
Î Route the cable through the cable gland.
Î Carry out the electrical wiring in accordance with the terminal allocation (see
chap. 2.2).
Î Close the housing with the screws.
Î Put the enclosed seal onto the screw head of the electric immersion heater.
Î Insert the electric immersion heater horizontally into the store and fasten it
with a wrench at the screw head (wrench size 70) with max. 100 Nm.
Î Fill the store with water.
Î Check the connection for leaks.
Note
Make sure that the store is equipped with a safety valve. For more infor-
mation about safety devices, see Seite 13.

Electrical connection

Note
Connection to the power supply must always be the last step of the in-
stallation!
Note
It must be possible to disconnect the device from the mains at any time.
Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged!
The device is supplied with power via a mains cable. The power supply of the device
must be 100 ... 240 V~ (50 ... 60 Hz). The cross section of the cable must be 2.5 mm².
If the electric immersion heater is connected to the CS PV therm controller, it will
be supplied with power via the controller.
Note
Use a shielded cable with a cross section of 2.5 mm² for connecting the
electric immersion heater to the CS PV therm.
Î Connect the electric immersion heater to the controller (see control-
ler manual). Connect the shield to the protective earth conductor of
the CS PV therm only.
