WA R N I N G : This VPX power source is not intended for use with grounded 3-prong
attachment plugs. Only connect appliances that have a 2 prong 120V attachment plug.
WARNING: Use caution when inserting a polarized twin blade AC plug into the AC
outlet. The prongs of an AC plug can become bent from misuse. If an AC plug is
improperly inserted into the AC outlet, a bent prong can slip outside the VPX power
source and become a shock hazard.
WARNING: EXPLOSION HAZARD: This equipment employs components that tend
to produce arcs or sparks. DO NOT use in compartments containing batteries or
flammable materials.
• Use of an attachment not supplied, recommended or sold by Black & Decker specifically
for use with this VPX power source may result in a risk of electrical shock and injury
to persons.
• N E V E R submerge this VPX power source in water; do not expose it to rain, snow or
use when wet.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, disconnect the VPX battery before attempting
maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls without disconnecting the VPX battery
will not reduce this risk.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD: Let the VPX power source cool down to ambient
temperature before charging.
• Storing the VPX power source at temperatures over 170° F (77° C) for over two
hours may cause damage to battery and possible fire.

OPERATED BY ADULTS; IT IS NOT FOR USE BY CHILDREN.
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE:
• Provide adequate ventilation and refrain from placing items on or around the VPX
power source during operation. Unit may overheat and thermal shutdown will occur.
• Proper cooling is essential when operating this VPX power source. Do not place it
near a heat source or in direct sunlight.
• The VPX power source may become uncomfortably warm, reaching 165° F (74°C)
under extended high power operation. During operation, keep it away from materials
that may be a ffected by high temperatures. Do not operate the VPX power source in a
p o c k e t .
• Do not use the VPX power source if the casing is broken or if it emits an unusual
odor, produces excessive heat, or leaks. Avoid contact with any substance that leaks
from the VPX power source . Do not attempt to open the VPX power source. Do not
insert any object into the VPX power source or use any device to pry at the casing.
• Do not insert foreign objects into the AC outlet or USB charging port. This may cause
VPX power source to short circuit.
• Grip the VPX power source carefully when inserting or removing an AC plug. Keep
your fingers clear of the AC outlet. Ensure that your fingers do not contact the prongs
of an AC plug when the plug is partially inside the VPX power source.
• Always turn the VPX power source off and unplug all devices prior to storage or
transportation of the VPX power source.
CAUTION: Some chargers for small rechargeable batteries can be damaged if
connected to the VPX power source. Do not use the VPX power source with the
following appliances:
a) Small battery-operated appliances like rechargeable flashlights, some rechargeable
shavers, and night lights that are plugged directly into an AC receptacle to recharge.
b) Battery chargers used in hand power tools. These chargers display a warning label
stating that dangerous voltages are present at the charger battery terminals.
• ALWAYS turn the VPX power source OFF when it is not in use.
CAUTION: Do not connect live AC power to the VPX power source outlets. This will
damage the VPX power source, and the damage is not covered by warranty.
• Do not connect any AC load that has its neutral conductor connected to ground to
the VPX power source.
• The VPX power source will not operate high wattage appliances or equipment that
