Before the first use, start the pump to circulate hot water mixed with a mild detergent in the pipes. Then drain
the pipes by disconnecting them from their clamp-type couplings. Re-connect with care to prevent honey
loss or air inlet – as air could mix with honey creating an emulsion.

Before starting the pump ensure that:
1
The inlet/outlet sleeve position is such that liquid delivery is not likely to cause personal damage;
2 The trolley is positioned on a flat floor to guarantee machine stability also in consideration of possible light
vibration;
3 The suction pipe is immersed in the honey; the leading end (left empty for priming purposes) should be
kept as short as possible because

rotor.
Given the viscosity and stickiness typical of honey, rotation might not occur even after power-on, especially
when a single-phase motor pump is used.
In this case, reverse the motor direction of rotation by moving the reverser lever in the opposite direction with
respect to the pre-set direction of rotation for a few seconds, then return to the pre-set position.
To allow this input current surge, the pump shaft is designed in such a way that the transmission pulley
mounted on the shaft can complete almost a full turn in the idle position.
Do not use the pump in automatic start systems unless the motor is protected by cut

5.0 MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT AFTER STOPPING THE MACHINE AND
DISCONNECTING ALL ELECTRIC CIRCUITS
Maintenance may be required to correct faulty operation caused by:
1 Leaks from sealing parts;
2 Faulty operation caused by rotor breaks;
3 Worn-out driving belt
After work, the machine should be rinsed with warm water only and then wiped dry with a cotton cloth.
Do not leave honey in the pump for prolonged periods of time.

If you expect not to have to use the machine for prolonged periods of time, check its mechanical parts'
efficiency and carry out any required inspection, replacement or servicing to ensure that the machine will be
ready to work the next time that it is started.
Before prolonged periods of inactivity, coat chrome-plated parts with a film of paraffin oil and cover the
machine with a tarpaulin.
