b) Installation location
• The product may only be used in dry, closed interiors, it must not get damp or wet!
Never set the product up in the direct vicinity of a bathroom, a shower or a bathing
tub or the like! There is a danger to life through an electric shock!
• Never place the heater directly underneath a wall socket.
• Choose an appropriate location. It must be sturdy, big enough, level, stable and far
away from infl ammable materials and items (e.g. curtains, furniture, doors, etc.).
Maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 m.
The heater is only suitable for placement on a horizontal, level, even and suf-
fi ciently big surface (e.g, fl oor).
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight or
strong vibrations.
• Never place the heater on an unstable or movable surface. Always place the
heater in such a way that it cannot tilt or topple over.
A safety switch at the bottom of the heater automatically shuts off the heater when
it is lifted off the fl oor or tips over. Never block this safety switch!
Despite the safety switch there is a risk of fi re when the heater tips/falls over!
Furthermore, this could result in personal injury or damage to the product.
• Due to the weight of the heater and the radiating hot air, the heater should never be
placed on valuable fl oor surfaces without adequate protection. This may not only
result in scratch marks or pressure marks, but also in discolorations due to the hot
air.
• Never use the heater in vehicles and similar moving objects or spaces; it is only

• Unwind the mains cable completely during operation. The power cable must not

can stumble over it and the plug is easily accessible. Do not install the mains cable
under carpets or the like.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high levels of dust,
fl ammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fi re and explosion!
c) Handling and operation
• Never plug in or unplug the plug-in power unit with damp or wet hands. There is a
risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never connect the device to the power supply immediately after it has been
brought from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation that develops in
such cases could damage the device or cause an electric shock! Allow the heater
to reach room temperature fi rst. Wait until the condensation has evaporated. This
might take several hours. Only after this the heater should be plugged into the
power supply and put into use.
• Never operate the heater unsupervised.
• Do not use the heater together with an additional timer, a remote switching device
(e.g. remote controlled socket) or similar devices, which automatically switch on
the heater. There may be a risk of fi re if the heater is covered or installed in the
wrong place.
• Do not connect the heater to an extension cord or dimmer or the like. Directly plug
the power plug into a wall socket for example.
• When using the heater for the fi rst time, hot parts of the case may cause an irritat-
ing odour for a while. If you experience this, ventilate the room where the heater is
set up.
• Always pull the mains plug on the gripping surface intended for this purpose.
Never unplug the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable!
• Unwind the mains cable completely during operation. If the cable is not unwound
completely, it can cause overheating; danger of fi re!
• Do not use the product when it is damaged (e.g. housing, mains cable). A defec-
tive connecting cable may only be replaced by a specialist. There is a risk of a
life-threatening electric shock!
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before cleaning the heater, or
when the heater is not to be used for a while.
• Always leave suffi cient space from combustible or fl ammable materials or objects
(curtains, doors, furniture etc.). If the distance is too small, there is a risk of fi re.
Never operate the heater inside cabinets or other small enclosed spaces. Fire
hazard!
Never cover the heater, do not place clothing items or other objects on the heater.
