CAUTION: HOT!
• Do not touch any part of the kettle housing when it is
in use. The stainless steel and glass surfaces get hot.
Only touch the handle.
• Do not put any part of your hand or body near the
kettle when it is turned on.
• Always ensure that the lid is closed and do not lift it
while the water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid
is removed while the water is heating up.
• While water is boiling, or just after the water has
finished boiling, avoid contact with the steam from
the spout.
• Use extreme caution when moving the kettle when it
contains hot water.
• Always tip the kettle slowly and carefully when
pouring boiling water.
• ·Be careful when opening the lid for refilling. Make
sure the kettle is not hot.
• ·Never remove the filter when the kettle contains hot
water.· Always ensure that the lid is closed and do

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Use only cold or tap water when filling.
• The water level must be between the MIN and MAX
marks. Note that if the kettle is overfilled, boiling water
may spill and may burn the user.
• Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing
it from its base.
• The kettle is only to be used with the base provided.
• The appliance is for household use only.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
• The base and exterior of the machine must not be wet.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should
be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging
materials until you have made sure your new kettle
is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic
wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and
young children, so ensure all packaging materials are
out of their reach.
• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for
damage. Do not use the appliance if the appliance or
its cord has been damaged or is not working properly.
In case of damage, contact an authorized person
for advice on examination, repair, or return of the
damaged product.
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with the kettle.
Pay particular attention to the safety instructions on
the previous pages.
• Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the
power supply.
• Lift the kettle vertically off the power base, open the
lid and fill the kettle with cold water and boil it (as
described on the following page), then discard the
water. This is to ensure all oils, dust and other residues
left from the manufacturing process and transport are
moved. Repeat this procedure at least twice before
drinking any water boiled in the kettle.
