C - MAINTENANCE OF THE PANEL LIFTER DEXTER®
IT
1) General maintenance
EL
Check the following parts at regular intervals, according to the indications given in the table below:
PARTS
PL
The condition of the cable, pulley and pulley
pin,
RO
The condition of the rubber stops and shoes,
EN
The conditions of the wheels and the opera-
tion of the wheel brakes,
The fixing and clamping devices
The cleanness of the columns,
The effectiveness of the fall prevention system
(see §2)
The condition of the winch and its function
(see § 3)
The condition of the head and its function
(see § 4)
And replace if necessary.
Any defective cable must be replaced by a guenuine cable
(Characteristics of the cables: diameter 3 mm, composition: 7 x 19 wires, actual breaking load: 5.75 kN)
2) Fall prevention system
Check the effectiveness of the fall prevention system (with no load) at intervals, hold the cable with your hand
(glove), slacken the cable with the crank and release the cable. The device must remain locked. To release the
cable, operate the winch in the "Up" direction.
3) Maintenance of the winch
The winch requires regular servicing by a competent department. Regular cleaning
makes for a longer service life.
- Never work with a defective cable.
- Keep the pinions, bearings and reel pin well greased. Use a Molydal N° 3790 type
grease.
- Keep the winch in good operating condition. Non-serviced mechanical parts can
cause operating problems or even accidents.
- During the lifting operation the operator should hear a regular "click"-sound
coming from the winch. This is an indicator of the good functioning of the winch. In case
the sound is inaudible it might be possible that the load brake is not engaged. Turn the
handle 2 or 3 turns in the "up" direction to engage the brake system. If the sound is still
inaudible after a couple of turns, do not use the winch.
4) Maintenance of the head:
The head requires cleaning at intervals.
Keep the pawl pin well greased.
Use a paraffin oil
