3.10 Stand-By mode (Optional)
Stand-By mode is only valid for the Frigo
Top (S), Pordoi and Rolle.
Make sure that the vehicle engine is switched off and

the ignition key removed.

230/400 V power supply.

– The system compressor starts
– The fan starts after a few seconds
– The display shows the actual temperature in the
cooling compartment.

3.11 Defrost the refrigeration system
Condensation forms on the cold surfaces in the interior
of the condenser unit and freezes to form ice. In order to
achieve full cooling capacity, this ice must be removed.
Your Frigo system has one of two defrost functions, de-
pending on the model.
■ Recirculated air defrosting – with this option,
defrosting takes place with the compressor switched
off, using the warmth from the load compartment.
The evaporator fan continues to run.
■ Hot-gas defrosting – the evaporator is actively
defrosted using hot refrigerant.
3.12 Defrost automatically
This process is initiated automatically by the control ele-
ment after every full operating hour*. If the chilled goods

When the defrosting process is completed, the system
will automatically return to cooling mode. This process
can also be identified from the display:

Do not switch off the system during the de-
frosting process.
The condensed water is discharged to the
outside beneath the vehicle via the drain line.
If the vehicle stands still, a puddle of water
may form beneath the vehicle.
3.13 Defrost manually

Press the "Defrost" button and hold for 2
seconds.

The programmed defrost cycle last a maximum of 8 min-
utes*, before the refrigeration system is switched back
on, there is a set drainage period. When the conditions
for defrosting are not met (the temperature recorded by
the sensor on the cooling unit is above the defrosting
temperature), the process does not take place.
* Parameter setting in control unit. The cycle time can be
changed by your dealer.
