Warm air hand- and hair-dryer Series: ST 2400
We have produced these instructions for use to get you
thoroughly acquainted with your new appliance as quickly as
possible.
Before putting your appliance to work, please read these
instructions through carefully. They give you important
notices regarding safety, use and disposal.
Make yourself familiar with the appliance and its various
functions in the order they are presented in these
instructions for use.
Pay attention to all notices and explanations regarding
the correct way to operate and treat the appliance. This
will guarantee that it is always ready for you to use and
that it gives you long and satisfactory service.
The safety notices are of particular importance. They will
help you to avoid accidents and protect your appliance
from damage.
Keep these instructions for use in a safe place; they can
often be very useful to you later on.
This appliance complies with the recognised standards of
technology, and the appropriate safety regulations for elec-
trical appliances. The manufacturer is not liable for any
damage which is caused by improper use, or incorrect ope-
ration.

standards: Low voltage directive 73/23/EEC with
amendments, electromagnetic compatibility directive
89/336/EEC with amendments.

Condition on delivery.
Have the agent delivering the consignment (post, UPS,
forwarding agent etc.) suitably confirm any obvious damage
to the goods or its packaging on the consignment note.
If any damage only comes to light on unpacking the goods,
the goods must be left in the condition in which they were
when the damage was discovered.
Notify the deliverer without delay in writing, and request a
written report of the facts of the case.
Safety instructions.
Before connecting the appliance to a mains power sup-
ply, check to ensure that the voltage shown on the rating
plate corresponds with that of your domestic power
supply. You will find the rating plate at the bottom of the
housing.
Warning: improper use, or any damage, may lead to risks
for health or even to fatal consequences.
When the appliance is disposed of or sold, the instruct-
ions for use should always accompany it.
Before opening the appliance, be sure to switch off the
power supply completely.
This appliance may only be connected by specialist
personnel. The connection must be made with cables
and cable cross-sections as prescribed by the power
supplier. Fuse protection and the design of the RCD
switch must comply with the regulations laid down by the
power supplier.
If the earth lead is improperly connected, contact with
the housing may have fatal consequences.
Observe the safety spacings laid down by EN standards,
the German Association of Electrical Engineers regul-
ations and power suppliers (VDE 0100 part 701).
The appliance must be protected from water ingress of
any description, flammable liquids and gases.
The appliance may only be repaired by a qualified
electrician, otherwise the user may be exposed to danger
and malfunctions.
Old appliances contain valuable materials that can
be recycled. Do not dispose of such appliances
with the normal domestic waste but rather by way
of appropriate collecting points.
