Note: The toaster may emit a burning smell when it is being used for the first
time while the heating elements are warming up. This is not a hazard or a defect.
When using the toaster for the first time, wait until the device has heated up and
the smell has disappeared. When using the toaster for the first time, it is advisable
to switch on the toaster without inserting any toast.
Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Before
using the toaster for the first use time, connect it to a properly wired power
socket.
Set the rotary switch provided for adjusting the degree of browning to the
highest setting and switch on the toaster by pressing the slide switch down.
Repeat this procedure until the burning smell is no longer noticeable. Press the
"STOP" button to interrupt toasting.
