Follow Maintenance instructions to re-
duce the risk of injury from electrical
shock and cut injuries.
Blade is sharp. Handle with care to pre-
vent cuts.

Cleaning

Wipe the tool, battery and charger clean daily
with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use any water
or solvents for cleaning as they can damage
the tool and increase the risk of electrical
shock.

Blade Changeout

Replace the blade when it becomes dam-
aged or dull. Damaged blades have nicks,
chips, deformation or other damage. A dull
blade is indicated by the tool laboring while
cutting, excessive time to cut, and poor cut
quality. Always change blade pin at the same
time blade is changed.
1. Confirm that the battery has been re-
moved from the cutter.
2. Fully retract the blade by pressing the
Blade Release Switch.
3. Position the cutter up or on its side when
removing the blade.
4. Press the end of the blade pin to raise the
head out of the slot and remove the pin.
5. Grasp the back of the blade and moving
along the line of the arrows on the cutter
housing, remove the blade.

6. Wipe a small amount of grease on teeth
at the back of the blade.
7. Grasp the back of the new blade and
move along the lines of the arrows on the
cutter housing, place into the housing so
that the hole in the blade aligns with the
blade pin hole in the housing.
8. Fully insert the new blade pin into the
blade pin hole.

injury, use only accessories specifically
designed and recommended for use
with the RIDGID TC-40 Cutter, such as
those listed below. Charger and batter-
ies are not compatible with any other
models of RIDGID Li-Ion batteries or
chargers.

All listed batteries will work with any model TC-40 charger.
The difference between batteries for different regions is in
label markings.

Storage

Remove battery pack from tool and store
in carry case. Store the TC-40 Cutter in a
dry secure area that is out of the reach of
children and peoples unfamiliar with it's
use. The tool is dangerous in the hands
of untrained users. Store the TC-40 Cutter
with the blade in the fully closed position.
The battery packs and charger should be
protected against hard impacts, moisture and
humidity, dust and dirt, extreme high and low
temperatures, and chemical solutions and
vapors.
