Instructions
about the power supply
• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the
supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
• Do not operate this unit near high frequency electromagnetic sources.
• Keep the power cord and the device itself away from heat, hot surfaces,
damp and liquids. Avoid touching the power unit with wet or even damp
hands, or when you are standing in water.
• Parts that conduct electricity on the device must not come into contact with
liquid.
• If the device falls into water, do not try to pick it up. Instead pull the power
unit out immediately.
• Always make sure that the power unit is easily accessible when the device is
connected.
• Disconnect the power unit from the socket immediately after using the de-
vice.
• Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the appliance from the mains.
Always pull out the mains power unit!
• Do not carry, pull or rotate the device by its power cord.

• This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by persons with insufficient
experience and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person respon-
sible for their safety, or unless they have been instructed in the use of the
device.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Do not use this unit to supplement or replace medical treatment. Chronic
complaints and symptoms may be made worse.
• You should refrain from using the Shiatsu massage cushion SMC, or should
consult your doctor before using it, if
- you are pregnant,
- you have a cardiac pacemaker, artificial joints or electronic implants,
- you suffer from one or more of the following illnesses and complaints:
Circulation disorders, varicose veins, open wounds, bruises, broken skin,
inflammation of the veins.
• The appliance has a heated surface. Persons insensitive to heat must be
careful when using the appliance.
• If you experience any pain or discomfort during the massage, stop imme-
diately and consult your doctor.
