Attention - Magnetism! Effects of the magnetic field have to be
taken into account (e.g. data carriers, cardiatic pacemakers ... ).
When using PTFE-coated magnetic bars, the following hase
to be noted: Chemical reactions of PTFE occur in contact with
molten or dissolved alkaline and alkaline - earth metals, as well as
with fine-particled powders of metals of the 2. and 3. group of the
periodical system at temperatures above 300-400°C.
Only elementary fluorine, chlorine trifluoride und alkaline metals
do attack PTFE, halogen hydrocarbons have a reversibly swelling
effect.

Even in the case of repair work, the unit must only be opened by
a qualified engineer. The mains plug must be pulled before ope-
ning the unit. The voltage-carrying components inside the unit may

The IKAMAG REO basic C is a laboratory device. It is used in

laboratories in the chemical industry, schools and pharmacies
7
to name a few. The devices are suitable for mixing of sub-

stances which are placed on mounting plates. The mixing

intensity depends on the motor speed and the size of the
8
magnetic stirring bar.

Unpacking
Please unpack the equipment carefully and check for any
damages. It is important that any damages which may have ari-
sen during transport are ascertained when unpacking. If appli-
cable a fact report must be set immediately (post, rail or for-
warder).
The delivery scope covers: an REO C, connecting cable and
operating instructions.
