Cautions:
1. Never allow children to operate or play with the paper shredder as serious injury may occur.
2. Keep all loose articles of clothing, ties, jewelry, hair or other small items away from
the feed opening to prevent injury.
3. Do not place hands or fingers into the shredder opening as serious injury could result.
4. Keep the shredder OFF or unplugged when not in use for an extended period of time.
5. Remove all paper clips and staples from paper before shredding. The shredder will
cut staples, however continuous shredding of these metal objects can lodge in between
cutting blades and hinder the performance of the shredder.
6. Do not exceed recommended sheet capacity
7. Always limit continuous shredding to the specified time. Continuous shredding should
not exceed 2 minutes, followed by 40 minutes cooling time to allow for proper cooling
of the motor.
8. Ensure the unit is plugged into an easily accessible power outlet.
9. Always turn off or unplug the shredder prior to moving, cleaning or emptying the
wastebasket.
10. For best operation, empty wastebasket frequently
11. Do not use aerosol dusters or cleaners
12. Do not place near or over heat source or water
13. Avoid shredding envelopes, labels or anything with glue or adhesives - this will lead to
paper jams.
14. Do not attempt to repair the shredder yourself
