Note: When using the USB interface with programs that limit the number of COM port
designations (e.g. Ohaus MassTracker allows only COM1, 2, 3, & 4), it may be
necessary to assign one of these port numbers to the new virtual port. To change the
port number assigned to USB Serial Port, double click "USB Serial Port" in the Device
Manager window. A "USB Serial Port (COMx) Properties" window will come up. Click
the "Port Settings" tab and click on the "Advanced" button to bring up "Advanced
Settings for COMx" and change COM port number.
4. BALANCE MENU SETUP
The Adventurer Pro software defines the USB Serial port as the RS232-2 port.
Refer to the instruction manual supplied with the Adventurer Pro balance. Set
up the RS232 communication and printing parameters as described in the
RS232-2 and Print-2 submenus (enabled when this kit is installed).
