Installation
The W830 HF Receiver is the ideal complement to the fishing radio buoy
W800 and W880. It receives the information from the radio buoys and
translates them into messages that can be read by a personal computer.
Installation of this unit is very simple; in fact it is sufficient to:
•
have an HF antenna operating in the 26-28 MHz band, positioned
externally, with an adequate gain value (greater than -3dBi).
Install a 50Ω Male BNC connector or a suitable coaxial adapter
•
between the cable and the W830 receiver on the coaxial cable
coming from the antenna.
•
Have a 12Vdc power supply, 100mA minimum and connect it to
EN
the receiver (as indicated below).
•
Connect the NMEA 0183 wires to your cartographic system (as
indicated below).
•
With the power supply unit connected and on, the red light (2) will
light up, indicating that the power supply is correct.
Your W835 device is ready to be used with the appropriate management
software.
