Installation procedure

1.2.1

Removal of the original cooler

If you are upgrading an existent system the current cooler has to be removed before
waterblock installation. Pleas e make sure that your hardware is disconnected from
any power sources. Always ground yourself before touching any hardware. Handle
the CPU and Mainboard with care. Do not use any tools that may damage the
hardware. Remove any old thermal compound from the CPU and clean the contact
surfaces.

Preparation of the Mainboard

If installation is done with the 4 installation-screws these must be mounted on the
Mainboard before waterblock installation. Firstly the metal washer must be placed on
the screw. This washer provides a better distribution of pressure on the Mainboard.
Now push the screw with the nut from the rear side through the Mainboard an fixate
the screw with the hexagonal nut. Repeat with all 4 screws.
