2 – Mounting the support stand on the surface to be drilled
A – Securing the base to the floor using the vacuum pump
Do not use the vacuum attachment on a ceiling or porous
surface.
For vacuum attachment, the surface must be flat and free of cracks. For vacuum
attachment you need a vacuum pump (see the list of available accessories) and
the slot cap for support stand.
1 – Screw the threaded connector onto
the support stand base. Position the slot
cap with the seal.
2 – Secure the vacuum clamp base seal under the support stand.
3 – Connect the support stand and the pump. Position the base correctly then
switch the pump on.
Check that the four level adjustment screws are fully loosened and that you have
reached a minimum sub-pressure of -0.8 bar.
When you press the slot cap valve the support stand may be released and
readjusted.
The vacuum pump must operate throughout the full duration of the operation; it
must be positioned so that you can see the pressure gauge. You need to check
that the support stand is correctly secured before you start drilling.
