6. When the timer function is enabled and the time that has been set on the timer is the same
as the current time, the device automatically begins the brewing process. The word "AUTO"
is replaced in the display by the word "BREW" and the green indicator lamp changes to red.
7. When the brewing process is complete, several beeps are heard and the word "BREW" is
no longer shown in the display.
8. If the coffee is to be kept warm, leave the jug on the hotplate with the device switched
on. The hotplate switches off automatically after approximately 2 hours. When the device
switches off, a beep is heard and the red indicator light goes out.
9. If you would like to switch off the hotplate or the device before the two hours have passed,
press the
key once. The red indicator light goes out as soon as you have turned off the
device.
10. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket when the device is not in use.
11. Clean the coffee jug, permanent filter and filter holder after each use (see the "Cleaning and
Care" chapter).

❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
❐ Allow the device to cool down before cleaning it
❐ Never immerse the device, mains cable or plug in water or other liquids.
❐ Do not use any corrosive, abrasive or poisonous cleaning agents. Do not spray cleaning
agents directly on to the device. Do not use any metal objects.
❐ The coffee jug, the filter holder and the permanent filter are not dishwasher-safe!
❐ De-scale the device regularly.
1. Remove the permanent filter from the device and dispose of the coffee grounds.
2. Also remove the filter holder and rinse off both parts as well as the coffee jug with a mild
detergent and warm water.
3. Allow the permanent filter and filter holder to dry completely before inserting them into
the device.
4. Wipe the outside of the device with a clean, damp cloth.
