MAINTENANCE OF THE CHUCK
Loosening of the Chuck:

Unscrew the cap MU 4199 from the handpiece. Hold the shaft of the
motor with the box spanner MU 4136 and unscrew the chuck with the
chuck key MU 0222 (direction of arrow).

Remove the Chuck:
Remove the chuck out of the shaft, check it, clean it or replace it.
Damaged and fooled chucks reduce the tension and the exact truth of
rotation.
Risk of Accident!
If you work with a defective chuck a risk of accident could be possible.
Cleaning of the Shaft:

Remove the dirt with the cleaning brush MU 0492.
Cleaning the Chuck:

Clean the chuck MU 0221 (Ø 2,35 mm) with the clean brush MU 0492.
Ø 3,00 mm chucks have the order number MU 0221 B.
Insert the Chuck:

Lock the shaft of the motor with the box spanner MU 4136 and screw in
the chuck with the chuck key MU 0222 (direction of arrow).
Screw on the cap MU 4199.
Mounting of Motor End Cap:

Carefully place the pins into the contacts.
MU 4115 and tighten it by hand (direction of arrow).
Tightening of the Bur:

Insert the bur and turn the handpiece housing (direction of arrow).
Only use unobjectionable burs.
