How To oPERATE yoUR
ComPRESSoR
NOTE– Before initial operation, your nebulizer should be
cleaned following cleaning instructions, or as
recommended by your physician or DeVilbiss provider.
1.
M akesurethepowerswitchisinthe"Off"position
(Fig.1)andunwrappowercord.
2.
P lacecompressorsothattherubberfeetarerestingon
alevel,sturdysurface(Fig.2)anduponwhichthe
controlscanbeeasilyreachedwhenseated.Never
blocktheairopeningsoftheproductorplaceitona
softsurface,suchasapatient'slaporabedorcouch
wheretheairopeningsmaybeblocked.

Plugpowercordintoanappropriatewalloutlet.

DeVilbisscompressor/nebulizermustbe
operatedonthespecifiedpowersourcetoavoid
riskofelectricshockanddamagetothe
compressor .

Washhands.

C onnectoneendofthenebulizertubingtothe
compressorair-outletconnector(Fig.2).
NOTE– During high-humidity weather conditions, condensation
(water build up) can occur in the nebulizer tubing.

A ssemblecleannebulizerpartsbyplacingbaffledown
inmedicationcup.Addprescribedmedicationintothe
medicationcup(Fig.3).Holdingcupstationary,screw
onnebulizercap(Fig4).
7.
A ssemblemouthpieceandt-piece(ifapplicable)and
insertintothetopofthenebulizercap.Ifusingan
aerosolmask,insertthebottompartofthemask
directlyintothetopofthenebulizercap.
8.
A ttachtubingtonebulizerair-inletconnector(Fig.5).
9.
P ressthepowerswitch"On"(Fig.1)tostartthe
compressor.
10. B egintreatmentbyplacingthemouthpiecebetween
teeth.Withmouthclosed,inhaledeeplyandslowly
throughmouthasaerosolbeginstoflow,thenexhale
slowlythroughthemouthpiece(Fig.6).Iftreatment
needstobeinterrupted,simplypresspowerswitch
