FITTING THE TRANSPORTATION WHEELS
WARNING!
You may need assistance when lifting the
machine out of the box and assembling.
NOTE: The legs should be splayed out at the bottom to
give stability to the unit.
1. Position the axle tube between the two legs.
2. Slide the axle through the hole in one of the leg then
through the axle tube and out through the hole in the
other leg. (see figure 4)
3. Position the washers, and wheel bushes on each end
of the axle.
4. Push the wheels onto each end of the axle.
5. Position the remaining washers and the locking nuts
on each end of the axle and tighten both the wheel
nuts using spanner I and spanner II.
NOTE: One is fixed the nylon nut on one side, and
another spanner for locking the nylon nut on another
side.
6. Insert the end frame to the each hole of the leg, and
lock the screw. (see figure 4)
NOTE: The wheels must be fitted the correct way round
For best results when shredding, follow the guidelines shown in the table below.

Twigs and up to 6mm diameter.
Branches and up to 40mm in
diameter.
Bedding plants, weeds and shrubby
growth.
Freshly cut foliage, hedge,
and kitchen waste.(I.e. cabbage leaves,
vegetable peelings etc.)

Feed into the feeding chute at a rate which the shredder will accept
without overloading. Use the plunger to push the material into the chute
if required.
Clip off all side growth with secateurs before feeding into the feeding
chute with the plunger.
Knock soil and stones off the roots to avoid damage to the blades. Avoid
weeds that may have seeded. The seeds may not decompose and may
germinate later.
With any material having high moisture content, it is advisable to feed
in some dryer sticks at regular intervals to help push the material through
the cutting assembly and prevent it from clogging.

FITTING THE LEG
1. Turn the shredder over onto its front to reveal the
wheel support fixing holes on the underside of the
shredder body.
2. Push the leg to the hole in the shredder body. (see
figure 6)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The garden shredder is suitable for shredding most
organic garden waste. It will shred, hedge trimmings,
twigs and other organic garden waste up to a maximum
diameter of 40mm.

Take care when tilting the unit onto its wheels
as the unit has an uneven weight distribution
when tilted and during wheeled transportation.

WARNING!
To ensure the stability of the shredder, make
sure that the cap headed bolts and washers are
securely tightened.
