16. Set-up location

• To ensure correct DCF reception, the product should not be placed next to electronic devices, cables, metal
parts, etc.
• Fully unwrap the wire antenna and fasten it e.g. behind some furniture. Adjust the position in case of reception
problems. Generally, the wire antenna should be fastened as high as possible.
• Place the product on an even, flat, stable surface.
• Set up the product in such a manner that it cannot fall over.
• Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate underlay; otherwise, it may cause scratches.

17. Care and cleaning

Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage
the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you. Repair or maintenance
work must be done by a technician or a specialist repair centre. There are no product components which have
to be maintained. For this reason, never open it (except for inserting/changing the batteries, as described in
these operating instructions).
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Do not press too strongly on the surface, to prevent scratch marks.
