ATTACHING THE GRASS DEFLECTOR (11)

See figure 1 and 2
WARNING
The cut-off blade (8) attached to the grass deflector (11) is sharp. Avoid contact with the blade. Contact can lead to serious injuries.
Never use the device with a defective or missing grass deflector.

Remove the battery.
·
Turn the string trimmer so that you can reach the trimmer head (10).
·
Remove the fixing screws for grass deflector (12) with a Phillips screwdriver (not included).
·
Attach the grass deflector (11) to the trimmer head.
·
Align the screw holes on the grass deflector with the screw holes on the trimmer head.
·
Tighten the screws (12).

ASSEMBLING THE SHAFT
See figure 3
·
Loosen the bottom screw on the coupler with the allen wrench (13).
·
Press the release button (14) on the lower shaft (7).
·
Press and hold the release button (14) while pushing the lower shaft (7) into the coupler (6).
·
Rotate the lower shaft (7) until the release button (14) engages in the positioning hole (15).
·
Manually tighten the bottom screw on the coupler with the allen wrench (13).

ATTACHING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE

See figure 1 and 4
·
Loosen the connecting screw for auxiliary handle (17) from the auxiliary handle (4).
·
Position the metal ring (16) on the lower shaft (7) and align it with the auxiliary handle (4).
·
Attach the auxiliary handle (4) to the lower shaft (7) above the metal ring (16).
·
Adjust the auxiliary handle (4) to a position that is comfortable for you.
·
Tighten the connecting screw for auxiliary handle (17).

9 COMMISIONING

·
Hold the string trimmer in your right hand by the rear handle (3) and hold the auxiliary handle (4) in your left hand.
·
Hold the device tight during use.
·
The string trimmer should be held in a comfortable position.
