3.1 Using the case as a transport container
• The restrictions provided in Section 5 "Technical data" on
page 6 apply to damaged batteries (defective but safe for
transport) in accordance with P 908 and SP 376, prototypes
in accordance with P 910 and SP 310, or batteries for
disposal/recycling in accordance with P 909 and SP 377.
• The following applies to critically defective lithium-ion
batteries in accordance with P 911 and SP 376: based on
the decision of BAM 15544 in its current version, the case
is allowed to be used for transporting lithium-ion batteries
that are susceptible to decomposing rapidly, giving rise to
dangerous reactions, causing fire, developing dangerous
levels of heat, or releasing toxic, corrosive or flammable
gases or vapours. You can request a copy of the BAM
decision from ZARGES.
• The relevant packing instructions must be followed.
• Follow the included instructions Fbl 10/36 when transporting
hazardous goods. In particular, the current regulations
concerning the transport of hazardous goods must be
observed.
• According to IATA DGR, the case is also allowed to be used
for shipping hazardous goods by air.
3.2 Using the case as a storage container
The operator is responsible for working with its indemnity
insurance company to determine and implement appropriate
measures for the storage of lithium-ion batteries.
Local regulations and statutory requirements must be
complied with.
The instructions provided by the battery manufacturer must
be observed.
3.3 Markings on the product
Do not remove any safety markings on the case or cover them
with adhesive labels or paint.

4 Scope of delivery and use
Check and ensure the case is in perfect working order
before use.
The case is only allowed to be used if it is complete,
i.e. all interior fittings must be present.
Keep the lid closed during transport and storage.

6 Maintenance and cleaning
If the case is damaged, do not use it or attempt to repair it on
your own. Do not continue using any damaged or incomplete
cases or parts.
6.1 Cleaning
• Only clean the product using cleaning agents that are
suitable for aluminium.
Do not allow cleaning agents to seep into the soil.
• Dispose of used cleaning solutions in accordance with
the relevant environmental regulations.
