Installation
Place the antenna safely on a level and sturdy surface, otherwise it may fall down and
injure people.
Do not drill any additional holes or screw any additional screws into the housing to mount
the antenna.
Pay attention when mounting on a wall that no power, gas or water pipes are damaged
by mistake!
When mounting on a wall, use screws and wall plugs, which are compatible with the
composition of the wall
1.
Attach the standing unit to the main unit.
2.
Insert the coax plug into appropriate aerial jack in your set top box (STB), and F-type connector screw-on
plug into the F-type jack in the antenna.
3.
Connect the DC plug of the adaptor to the DC socket in the back of antenna and the AC plug to the mains.
4.
Place the antenna near the STB or television and alter its position or orientation (horizontal or vertical) to
obtain the best possible reception.
5.
Rotate the stand clockwise or anticlockwise to change the antenna orientation, horizontal or vertical.
6.
If the reception is still not satisfying, please try wall-mounted installation.
Wall mounting
1.
Connect the coaxial cable and the adaptor as mentioned above. Move the antenna along the wall to search
for the position with best reception.
2.
Detach the main unit and use the standing unit as a template to mark positions on the wall for two screw
holes. Use a spirit level to achieve horizontal alignment for the holes.
3.
For wooden wall, choose two suitable wood screws.
4.
For brick or reinforce concrete wall, drill two 5.8 mm holes to 35 mm depth and insert 2 wall plugs or anchor
bushings.
5.
Screw the screw in but not completely, leave 15 mm between the bottom of screw cap and the wall. Thus
the antenna can be suspended correctly.
6.
Match the slots. Press the antenna against the wall and slide it down to ensure secure mounting.
Suggestions on how to obtain best reception:
•
Position the antenna far from any source of interference and near to the window.
•
Install the antenna as high as possible to reduce the chances of interference.
Different local stations with different transmission power are available depending on your location.
Reception can vary accordingly.
Version 06/11
