Getting Started

Version 01/15
• The rechargeable battery installed in the barcode scanner is usually flat on delivery. To
charge it, use the USB cable to connect the barcode scanner to a free USB port on your
computer, a USB hub with its own power supply or the USB port e.g. of an appropriate wall
plug transformer.
The charging time when the rechargeable battery is flat is about 2 hours.
• To switch on the barcode scanner, press the button on the top. The barcode scanner switches
off automatically after an adjustable time (you can set the desired time by scanning the
corresponding barcode in the manufacturer's programming guide; you can also deactivate
the automatic switch-off).
Pairing
• To start the pairing process, scan the "Disconnect" barcode on the enclosed manufacturer's
programming guide.
• If the barcode scanner is connected to an Android device, an iOS device or a PC, scan the
barcode „BT mode HID".
• On the device you use, carry out a search for available Bluetooth devices. The barcode
scanner should be found after a short time.
If the Bluetooth software device requires you to enter a PIN code on the barcode scanner,
scan the barcode "Pincode Start", then the barcodes for the required digits, then the "Enter"
barcode and finally the barcode "Pincode Stop".
Please consult the manufacturer's English programming guide.
Function of the barcode scanner
The barcode scanner functions in a manner similar to a Bluetooth keyboard. It transmits the
data contained in the scanned barcode as text to the receiver (e.g. a PC or a mobile device),
which then shows this information in the already running software (spreadsheet, text editor).
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason.
Only use a clean, soft and dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as
these can cause discolouration.
Do not press too strongly on the surface when cleaning, to prevent scratch marks.
Dust can be easily removed with a soft, clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
