INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
In normal conditions of use, in order to ensure correct operation of the installation, it is recommended
that this device is changed within 10 years of the date of manufacture.
The operating temperature range of the device is 0-50°C.
WARNING: When the regulator is installed downstream of another regulator, the supply pressure range
shall be correct for the regulated pressure range of the upstream regulator, plus any loss shall not exceed
P value marked on the device.
Excess Flow Valve (EFV):
- The regulator is equipped with an excess flow valve (EFV) safety device. This is the sign to stop the gas
flow in the event of a sudden flow change on the outlet side of the regulator.
- When used on a cartridge, the excess flow valve may close if the gas cartridge is moved during use.
- Close the valve (on the supply line, the cartridge, or the regulating device) in the event of operation
of the excess flow valve, and only open it after having rectified the cause of the excess flow
valve (EFV) operating.
- The tap on the regulator shall always be in the fully open position so as to allow the operation of the
excess flow valve.
This regulating device shall not be positioned lower than the tank or cylinder valve, to avoid gas vapour
which may have re-liquefied from draining into the regulator. Pipes and hoses used to connect to the
inlet of the regulating device, shall slope continuously back to the tank or cylinder.
When using fuel-burning equipment (especially in confined spaces) make sure there is
ADEQUATE VENTILATION.
If this product fails to work NOTIFY YOUR DEALER immediately. This regulator cannot be adjusted. Any
attempt to do so will invalidate the warranty.
Make certain that you know how to operate all the equipment and appliances.
Never place a gas cylinder on its side or leaning out of the vertical position.
The regulator must only be used in horizontal position with the regulator top plate facing upwards.
Never use tools to connect the regulator. If the regulator cannot be connected to the cartridge correctly
do not try to force the regulator thread onto the cartridge.
Always use type approved appliances. Never use an appliance other than in the manner and circum-
stances laid down in the manufacturer's manual.
Never tamper with the mechanism of the regulator.
DO NOT move the cartridge when in use.
This regulator is not intended for boats or road vehicles.
LPG attacks natural rubber, therefore ensure that only type approved flexible hoses marked EN16436
or EN1763 are used, and only type approved jointing components and greases are used. All nozzles for
approved low pressure hoses must be of the approved type. It is recommended that all hoses should be
examined at frequent intervals and replaced if there is any sign of damage or deterioration.

CHANGING THE GAS CARTRIDGE

WARNING: Never change the cartridge close to naked flames.
DO NOT SMOKE WHILE CHANGING THE CARTRIDGE.
The gas cartridge shall be changed in a well-ventilated location, preferably outside, away from any
sources of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people.
If there is a leak on your regulator (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well-ventilated flame
free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your
regulator, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water.
1)
Turn off the unit completely. Be careful the gas cartridge could be hot.
2)
When changing cartridges make sure that the valve on the empty cartridge is clean and free from debris
in the connection area.
3)
Turn the On/Off dial clockwise to turn the gas supply off. Hold the regulator and unscrew the regulator
from the cartridge by turning anticlockwise. If a hiss is heard or you smell gas, reconnect the regulator by
turning clockwise and place the appliance and the cartridge outside in a well-ventilated area.
4)
When the regulator is disconnected ensure the valve on the cartridge is kept free from debris and stored
in a cool, dry place until next use. Please deposit empty cartridges in a safe environmentally friendly way.
5)
Make sure that the rubber washer is in a good condition and not damaged, and that the valve outlet is
clean.
6)
Check the seals before connecting a new gas cartridge to the regulator.
7)
Ensure the regulator operation valve is turned to the Off position by turning clockwise. Screw the
regulator onto the cartridge by turning clockwise. Firmly tighten the regulator onto the valve, but do not
overtighten it.
8)
The outlet connection E of the regulator is suitable for connecting to an 8 mm or 10 mm inside diameter
hose. The hose may be secured onto the regulator and appliance nozzle with hose clips for a more secure
fit.
MAINTENANCE
Ensure that your gas equipment is maintained in good condition.
Consult your dealer if you are in any doubt as to the safety or efficiency of your gas equipment.
