Safety instructions
First, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain important infor-
mation about proper operation of the device.
Damage due to not following these operating instructions will void the warranty! We do
not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages caused by the
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty will be void in
such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not
permitted.
• Connect the sound system only to a normal mains socket (220-240 V/50/60 Hz) of the public
power supply.
• Observe the appropriate commissioning of the device. Therefore, please follow the operating
instructions carefully.
• Devices that operate on the mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of children. For this
reason, be particularly cautious when using the sound system in the presence of children.
There is a life-threatening electric shock hazard.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Never remove mains plugs from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Always pull out the
mains plug by gripping it on the surfaces provided for that purpose.
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket if the device is not going to be used for
longer periods of time.
• For safety reasons, always remove the mains plug from the mains socket during thunder-
storms.
• Never place vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vases or
plants, on the sound system or in its direct vicinity. Liquids may seep into the casing and
thus impair the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of fire or
of a lethal electric shock! If this is the case, de-energise the appropriate mains socket (e.g.
switch off circuit breaker and RCD) and then remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Disconnect all cables from the device. The product must no longer be used after that; take it
to a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the sound system to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong
vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Never plug the device into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from
a cold environment into a warm one. The condensation that forms might damage the device.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation
has evaporated.
• To ensure adequate ventilation, there must be an open space of 5 cm round the casing. In
addition, the air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths,
curtains or similar items.
