HOW TO TAKE YOUR TEMPERATURE
1.Press ON/OFF button to activate . The unit would beep and display
This LCD display test will go on for around 2 seconds.
2.Then,the temperature taken last time would be displayed with a "M" mars in the right
corner.
3.When L and flashing °Cdisplays ,the thermometer is ready for temperature measuring . But if
the room temperature is lower than 32 .0°C the room temperature woul d be displayed
instead of "L".
4.The beep will sound when temperature measuring is complete .
5.Press ON/OFF button of the unit.(The unit will automatically power off after approximately
eight minutes after use.)
TAKING AN ORAL TEMPERATURE: Place the probe tip under the tongue as near as possible to
the heat pocket. Approximate measuring time: 1 minute .
TAKING AN AXILLARY TEMPERATURE (UNDER THE ARM): Wipe the underarm with a dry towel
and place the probe tip under the arm so the tip is touching the skin the thermometer
perpendicular to the body. Position the arm across the chest so the probe tip is well covered
by the arm. Approximate measuring time :2‐3minutes.
Note:axillary temperatures are generally 0.5°C/1 .0°F lower than oral readings.
TAKING A RECTAL TEMPERATURE:Apply a water‐soluble lubricant to the probe cover. Gently
insert the probe (MAXIMUM 1/2")into the rectum . Approximate measuring time :1 minute.
Note: Rectal temperature is generally 0.5°C/1 .0 of higher than oral readings.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
The battery in your digital thermometer needs to be replaced when " " appears in the lower
right corner of the display. Replace the battery with a 1.5V,AG3 alkaline or LR41 silver oxide
type or equivalent.
To replace the battery:
1. PuII the battery cover away from the unit.
