What is the automatic flush cycle?
The Steam Humidifier automatically flushes out the
water tank during the humidifying season. In the
automatic flush cycle, cold water enters the tank while
water is being emptied through the drain line. The
action of simultaneous filling and draining cools the
water to a safe draining temperature. It also dilutes
water hardness concentration to reduce mineral
deposits from forming in the tank.
At the end of the automatic flush cycle, the Steam
Humidifier refills the tank with fresh water, and
automatically returns to normal operation.
Automatic flush is performed regularly, based on the number of hours that the Steam Humidifier heats water and
produces steam. Automatic flush can be set to occur at any of the following intervals:
Your Professional Installer set the Steam Humidifier to flush at the appropriate interval for your installation. During
any service call, the automatic flush interval can be changed, if desired.
CAUTION: Scalding Hazard.
Initial temperature of the drain water may be above 140
Make sure the drain outlet is not exposed, and use caution when pressing the Drain button.
