Charging the inbuilt rechargeable battery
The USB connection at which the device is charged must have a power rating of
at least 500 mA. This is normally assured at every USB connection of computers.
However, the device can also be charged with power supplies that feature USB
ports.
Recharge the battery at least once a month, even if the device was not used. This
will protect the battery against damage due to deep discharge and extend the bat-
tery life.
Do not leave the battery uncharged for more than 10 months.
Before using the device for the first time, the built-in rechargeable battery must be
fully charged. Charging takes about 2 hours.
• Connect the USB cable included in the delivery with the MP3 Player.
To do this, attach the clip of the USB cable included to the ear piece which features 4 gold
contacts. Make sure that the clip is in touch with the contacts on the ear piece.
• Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB connection of a computer or into a suitable
USB power supply.
• A green LED in the ear piece that holds the controls flashes during the charging process.
• Once the battery is charged, the green LED is permanently on.
However, if the green LED will not go on once connected to a USB interface or a
power supply, the battery is heavily discharged. In this case, leave the MP3 player
on the charger for a longer time to reactivate the battery.
• Unclip the USB cable when the charging process is complete.
• One battery charge will last up to 10 hours, depending on volume and use.
Memory management
The MP3 player has built-in memory for storing your MP3 music files.
While the device is connected to a computer, the battery is automatically charged
and playback is disabled.
Never disconnect the USB connection while a data transfer is in progress.
