Rotatable LED automobile lamp
Item no. 855238
Intended use
The LED automobile lamp serves as light source inside vehicles. This product may only be operated if it is
connected to a 12 V DC car power supply with the negative terminal of the car battery connected to the body.
It may only be installed and operated in vehicles supplied with this kind of voltage. Never connect the lamp
to any other voltage supply.
Use is only permitted in the car or closed rooms, i.e. not outdoors. Contact with moisture or dampness must
be avoided at all times. Through proper installation the user has to ensure that the lamp is protected against
moisture and dampness.

approval reasons.
• Prior to commissioning, check the device for damage. If the device is damaged, it may not be
put into operation.
• The device may only be used with the 12 V DC vehicle power supply (with the negative terminal
of the battery connected to the body of the vehicle). Never connect the lamp to any other
voltage supply.
• Make sure the device is put into operation correctly. Please follow the operating instructions
carefully when doing so.
• Consult qualified staff, if you have doubts about how the equipment operates or about how to
connect it safely.
• Always check the lamp and the connection cables from time to time for damage.
• An expert must repair the product in case the lamp or the connection cables are damaged.
• Avoid heavy mechanical stress on the lamp and do not expose it to high temperatures, strong
vibration or dripping or spray water.
• Never pour out any liquids over the lamp. You run the risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric
shock. If any liquid should nevertheless penetrate the device, immediately disconnect it from
the power supply network and contact a specialist.
• The device does not belong in the hands of children. Keep it out of the reach of children.

Mounting
Modifications to the vehicle which are made necessary through the installation of the
lamp must always be carried out in such a manner that neither the traffic safety nor the
designed stability of the car is impaired. If you are in doubt when selecting a place for
installation, consult your car dealer.
Before drilling the attachment holes make sure that the electric cables, brake lines, the fuel
tank or similar systems will not be damaged.
When using tools for mounting your device, observe the safety instructions of the
manufacturer.
1. Look for a suitable installation location.
2. Mark the holes for the screws at the place of installation. Use the device itself as a model for this.
3. Drill the holes for the fastening screws.
4. Fasten the lamp with the two enclosed screws.
When installing the lamp, take into consideration the risk of accident which can arise from devices
being torn away in case of an accident. Therefore, fasten each part securely and in a location
where it will not pose a risk to the passengers.
Connecting the power supply
The electric connection should always be carried out by a specialist. To avoid short cuts
and any resulting damage to the device, the negative terminal (earth) of the car battery has
to be disconnected first.
Version 01/14
Before reconnecting the negative terminal to the battery, ensure that the lamp has been
completely connected. Only use a volt meter or a diode test lamp for checking the voltage
on the vehicle system leads, as normal test lamps consume excessive voltage and
may thus damage the vehicle's electronics. When installing cables make sure that the
connection cables are not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges. Use rubber bushings
for passing points.
1. Connect the red connection lead with the positive voltage supply.
2. Connect the black connection lead with the negative voltage supply (earth).
Supply lines to the lamp must be protected with fuses. The fuse must be designed proportionately
to the cross section (mm²) of the supply line used, since it serves to protect the supply line laid
through the car body. Look for a suitable installation location.
Operation
The lamp is turned on and off with the switch next to the light output.
Care and maintenance
Always separate the lamp from the power supply before cleaning it.
The outside of the lamp should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Never use caustic cleaning agents or
chemical solutions as the surface of the housing could be damaged.
Bulb replacement
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
