FULL SELF-CHECKING
TEXT SEQUENCE
Keep the button pressed down and the orange led will turn on, starting the test sequence.
- If when connecting the lathe to the electrode the leds turn on, the buzzer sounds and the green led remains on, the
test is correct and the detector stays in standby mode.
- If when connecting the lathe to the electrode the orange leds remains on and after the standby moment all leds start
to flicker and the buzzer sounds many times, and at last finishes, the test is not correct.
This test checks all the cable and lathe circuit.
After the test sequence, the detector is ready to be safely used.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1.- Check that the device works properly using the built-in test button (4) and if possible using operating voltage.
2.- The device is in alert status, with the green LED on (6).
3.- Connect the earthing lathe to the rail.
4.- Place the detector's electrode (1) in contact with the conductor/overhead cable.
VOLTAGE PRESENCE:
If voltage is over Threshold 1: red led (5) on and slow buzzer (7).
If voltage is over Threshold 2: red (5) and orange (6) leds on, quick buzzer (7).
VOLTAGE ABSENCE: Green led (6) on.
5.- After each check for presence or absence of voltage, get back to the text sequence.
MAINTENANCE
Even if it is stored, the voltage detector should be checked and calibrated by the manufacturer after a maximum of 6 years.
In the event of detecting any anomaly or poor performance, you should contact SOFAMEL, S.L. for a possible
replacement or verification.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT (Fig. 1)
1.- Unscrew the contact electrode (1).
2.- Separate the housing and plastic piece.
3.- Change the battery.
IMPORTANT
Before using the device, check that the housing is correctly threaded.
The device must be used with the appropriate isolating pole.
