Raising the on-screen keyboard
• Move the sliding switch to "C", to raise the on-screen-keyboard to key in data.
• Move the sliding switch to "O", to lower the on-screen-keyboard.
• The function is not supported by all OTG phone. Please test whether your device supports it by setting
the switch in position "C".
Symbology settings
• Turn on the barcode scanner.
• Press gently on the scan trigger (4) to start a scan.
• Enable configuration mode by scanning the Start Configuration barcode in the quick start guide.
• Select the desired symbology settings from the table in the quick start guide.
• Enable a symbology by scanning the "ENABLE" barcode.
• Disable a symbology by scanning the "DISABLE" barcode.
• Exit configuration mode by scanning the End Configuration barcode.

e) Configuring the keystroke delay
• Enable configuration mode by scanning the Start Configuration barcode in the quick start guide.
• To configure the keystroke delay, scan the No Delay, Short Delay (20 ms delay) or Long Delay
(40 ms delay) configuration codes in the "Inter-Keystroke Delay (For USB HID only)" section in the quick
start guide.
• Exit configuration mode by scanning the End Configuration barcode.
f) Restoring default settings
• Scan the configuration codes 1 to 3 (in ascending order) in the "Reset Configuration to Default" section
in the quick start guide.
• The default settings will be restored.
Scanning barcodes
Ensure that you select the correct keyboard settings on your mobile device. The following
symbols are usually only supported for the "US" country settings: @ | $ # { } [ ] = / ' \ < > ~
• Open an application or document on your mobile phone. After it has been read successfully, the barcode
will be inserted into the position where the cursor blinks.
• Move the sliding switch (3) to the "O" position.
• Position the scanner at a sufficient distance and an angle of 50° to the barcode.
• Press gently on the scan trigger (4) to start the scan process.
• Depending on the size and specification of the barcode, you may need to adjust the distance between the
barcode and the scanner.
• Move the sliding switch to the "C" position after use.
You will hear a beep when the barcode scanner successfully reads the barcode. A different
sound will be played if the scanner fails to read the barcode. Please note that the beep tones for
normal barcodes and configuration barcodes are different to enable you to distinguish between
the two processes.
Tips & important information
• Ensure that the barcode is clean before scanning it.
• The barcode must be fully visible.
• Keep the barcode scanner at the specified distance and angle from the barcode.

• Hold the barcode scanner in the correct position.
• To prevent incorrect results, check the settings each time you turn on the barcode scanner.

Care and cleaning

• Before cleaning the scanner, disconnect it from the power supply. Ensure that the scanning unit is not
connected to the rechargeable battery in the holder.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the surface when cleaning to avoid
scratch marks.
• Dust can be easily removed using a clean long-haired brush.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
