External speaker/microphone jack

Your Insignia radio can be used with an external speaker/microphone or
headset, freeing your hands for other tasks.
To use an optional speaker mic or headset:
1 Insert the plug(s) into the SPK/MIC jacks.
2 Place the earbud into your ear, and adjust the microphone into your
desired position.

Troubleshooting

Problem
Solution
Radio does not turn
• Check battery installation
on
• Replace batteries
Radio unable to
• Confirm the radios have the same channel and
receive messages
Privacy Code settings.
• Make sure that you are within range of the other
transceivers.
• Buildings and other structures may be interfering with
your communication. (See "About range" on page 6)
Radio doesn't
• Make sure Key Lock is not on.
respond to button
• Radio might need to be reset. Turn radio off then on.

• Make sure that accessory microphone is set properly.
Radio display is dim
Recharge or replace batteries.
Charger does not
• Contacts on the back of the radio may need cleaning.

• Make sure that the outlet where the charger is plugged
into is functioning properly.
• Make sure that the battery pack is correctly installed.
