amplifiers, spotlights, etc. will affect its performance and may even damage the unit.

INSTALLATION MANUAL
• In order to prevent electric shock, do not open the top cover. If a problem occurs,
contact your dealer.
• Do not place metal objects or spill liquid inside the unit. Electric shock or malfunction
may result.
• This unit may cause interference to radio and television reception.
PARTS OF THE UNIT
1. PHONO INPUT: This is a normal phono input. Connect the cinch cable coming from a
turntable to this input.
Important: this input only accepts phono level signals. If your turntable has a phono/line switch, be
sure to switch it to phono. With line level signals the scratch processor will not work properly and can
even be damaged.
2. PHONO GROUND: If your turntable has a ground connector, we strongly suggest
connecting it to this input. This avoids hum and pops associated to the low signal
levels of phono cartridges.
3. CLOCK OUT1: This output is used to send the control signals from the Scratch
Processor to the CDX-1 CD-player. Connect one of the supplied 3.5mm stereo
jack/jack cables between this output and the left Scratch Processor input on the back
of the main unit. This output only works when the specially coded scratch record is
used on the turntable.
Important: Only use the supplied 3.5mm stereo jack/jack cables! Don't mix these cables with the
3.5mm mono jack/jack fader start cables supplied with CDX-1 CD-player!!!
Using mono jacks may permanently damage the Scratch Processor and voids all warranties.
4. CLOCK OUT2: This output is used to send the control signals from the Scratch
Processor to the CDX-1 CD-player. Connect one of the supplied 3.5mm stereo
jack/jack cables between this output and the right Scratch Processor input on the back
of the main unit.
5. POWER SUPPLY INPUT: connect the supplied 9Vdc power supply to this input.
6. PHONO OUTPUTS: Connect these outputs to the phono inputs of your mixer. This
output is switched off when you put the special scratch record on the turntable. While
playing an ordinary analog vinyl record, this output sends the music to the phono input
of the mixer. To prevent hum, don't forget to connect the GND-cable to the mixer.
