This document contains some very important information for the safety of individuals and of
property, as well as on how to commission this product. The user and installer must under all
circumstances familiarise themselves with the information contained herein prior to installing
and commissioning the device. This reference document must be kept safely.
1. MEANING OF THE SYMBOLS USED HEREIN

2. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The instructions listed below are not exhaustive. The filter must always be handled
with the utmost care.
▪ This product is destined for private usage for the maintenance of swimming pool water.
▪ Do not modify the filter; the guarantee will automatically be invalidated in the event of
any modification thereof.
▪ For any repairs, only use spare parts supplied by the manufacturer; the latter will not be
held liable for any damage caused by the use of non-original spare parts or parts which
have been modified without prior agreement.
▪ The safety and correct operation of the filter are guaranteed only if all the installation
and commissioning instructions have been followed correctly.
▪ In the event of a malfunction or failure, please contact your nearest manufacturer's
representative or the manufacturer's Technical Support Service.

3. INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY

The filter is pre-assembled. It is supplied fixed to its base (9) with the central pipe (6), the
strainers (7), the clamps (3) and the centring plug (already installed – see illustration on the
following page). It is supplied with a small bag containing the pressure gauge (2), the valve/
tank joint (10), the valve and all the couplings (please refer to the paragraph relating to con-
nections).
3.1 POSITIONING AND ASSEMBLY
▪ The filter must be positioned:
- on flat ground, which is very stable and firm,
- such that the 6-way valve is accessible for regular maintenance,
- either below, or at a maximum of 2m above the level of the water in the pool,
- near a water drainage outlet.

3.2 LOADING THE SAND (washed and dried)
▪ Ensure that the 8 strainers (7) are securely tightened,
▪ Ensure that the vertical pipe (6) is correctly located in the centre of the strainers and
that the centring plug (see above) has been installed
▪ Cover the strainers with water (1/3 of the filter) in order
to slow the falling sand
▪ For the sand carefully through the upper opening (please
refer to the table for the weight and size grading),
▪ Remove the centring plug. It will not be required again.
Flatten the surface of the sand,
▪ Make sure that no sand has fallen into the central pipe
(6) and clean off any residues from the filter tank.
