Selecting the cable
PLEASE NOTE
The tables and formulae in the "Electronics manual" cannot
be used for the cables of the additional supply.
Note that the current consumption of the additional supply
can amount to 25 A.
• Use conductors with suitable diameter.
• Avoid long distances between the power unit
and the additional supply.
The screw terminals and the cover of the Sub-D-BU-25 plug
with conduit thread PG11 enable the following cable cross sec-
tions and diameters to be used:
Cable cross section
0.5 ... 4 mm
(AWG 10 ... 20)
Calculate the permitted distances:
– between the power unit and the additional supply
as well as
– between the high current output and the load
according to the calculation instructions in the "Supplementary
description."
