6.1- Cleaning
6.1.1 – General cleaning
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from
various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove
dirt, dust, lubricant, grease, etc. Regular and proper cleaning will not only ensure safe use but also
prolongs the life span of this product.
Make sure the product is switched off, cooled down and the spark plug connector is disconnected.
Clean the product with a damp cloth and pH-neutral soap. Use a brush for areas that are hard to reach.
In particular clean the ventilation openings and the blowing device after every use with a cloth and
brush.
Remove stubborn dust with compressed air (max. 3 bar).
NOTE: Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or other aggressive detergents or disinfectants
to clean this product as they might be harmful to its surfaces.
For repairs, have the blower serviced an Authorized Service Center.
WARNING: Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products,
penetrating lubricants, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage,
weaken ordestroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
6.1.2 – Cleaning the air filter
Inspect the air filter regularly. Replace it with a new one if necessary.
Open the air filter case by loosening the fixing screw with the screwdriver.
Remove the screw, cover and take the filter out.
Tap the filter on a stable surface to remove dust. Use compressed air (max. 3 bar) to remove stubborn
dust.
Apply a small amount of air filter oil on the filter to increase the performance of the filter. Wring out
surplus oil and put the filter into the case.
Put the air filter cap (9) back in place and fix it with the screw.
NOTE: The filter should be replaced annually for best performance.
6.2- Storage
Clean the machine before storage.
Perform maintenance operations before storage.
For prolonged periods of storage, drain the gasoline from the tank, and lubricate the moving parts.
Product must be stored in a dry and ventilated clean location, protective from frost and excessive heat.
Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
Always lock up product and keep out of reach of children.
6.3- Disposal
- Do not dispose with household garbage. Do not throw into the environment.
Dispose of the product in a waste drop-off centre; or seek advice from your local municipality.
- Proceed with disposal of the tool, accessories and packaging according to local regulations
regarding the protection of the environment.
